JPGL are island freight specialists with hubs in Portsmouth, Channel Islands and Isle of Wight. We provide end to end value-added supply chain services including Road, Sea & Air freight, customs, warehousing and final mile delivery.

Our story

JPGL specialise in freight, UK, Channel Islands, Isle of White, customs clearance, warehousing and final mile delivery.

We are part of Jersey Post Group, a Jersey government-backed business with over 50 years of postal, logistics, and eCommerce experience.

We’re a shareholder member of Pallet-Track, covering postcodes in Portsmouth UK, Jersey and Guernsey. We transport pallets between Pallet-Track’s hub from and to our Portsmouth hub for final mile delivery to the Channel Islands and the PO Portsmouth post code area.

We acquired businesses with vast logistics experience to provide specialist services to our clients, including:

• Global logistics provider Fraser Freight’s forwarding
• Woodside Logistics, Channel Island freight experts

The JPGL team are freight specialists with over 30 year’s industry experience.

We have local island knowledge of the Channel Islands and Isle of Wight, with a wealth of experience moving freight and mail from and to the UK.

The Jersey Post Group is made up of over 500 employees in Jersey, Guernsey, the UK and US.

Michelle Elcombe
Industrial Engineering Manager

Michelle has 14 years of experience across various aspects of logistics where she has gained valuable knowledge in finance, operations and sales. Her role at JPGL focuses on streamlining processes and making business improvements to drive the company forward. Michelle is also a recipient of the JPGL Community Champion Award, for her dedication to the wellbeing of her colleagues.

James Mackenzie
Industrial Engineer Manager

James has 26 years of experience in logistics, having spent the majority of his career at UPS working in the Industrial Engineering function of the International Small Package and Freight Forwarding Divisions. His role at JPGL focuses on Process, Service and Quality improvement to ensure that JPGL continues to offer a first-class service to its customers across all modes of transport.

Paul Gibbon
Finance Manager

A CIMA qualified accountant, Paul leads the finance team and is responsible for the day to day running of the finance department, he also provides support to the wider business in relation to developing strategy. Paul gained his finance training in the manufacturing industry and previously polished his financial skills working for a law firm.

Rebecca Ellwood
Assistant Finance Manager

Rebecca provides essential support within the finance team and manages the monthly accounts for JPGL, with her 13 years of experience she also assists with the annual budget and forecast process. Rebecca was nominated by her colleagues for a JPGL People Award for her fantastic dedication to continued professional development.

Mark Gould
General Manager, Quadra Point

Mark has 25 years of experience running transport operations, he has worked across all types of transport, as well as freight forwarding and logistics management. At JPGL, Mark manages the fleet, freight forwarding and warehouse operations. He is also responsible for overseeing health and safety compliance as well as looking at strategies and opportunities for growth.

Mark Manders
Customs Supervisor

Mark has been involved with Customs clearances for 39 years. With his wealth of knowledge, he is responsible for import clearances of air freight, sea freight and courier arrivals as well as JPGL’s export procedures. Mark is an exemplary team leader who always strives for the best for everyone around him.

Max Bailey
General Manager, London Hub

Max has over 25 years of experience in imports, exports and transport. Together with his team, Max provides customer-friendly, hassle-free Customs navigation. Max started out in the industry as an Air Courier which allowed him to travel the globe, and introduced him to the world imports and exports. In his spare time, he is a keen music enthusiast and regularly attends concerts of modern and classic artists.

Spencer Padley
UK HR Business Partner

Spencer joined the team in January 2023 as part of the HR department, overseeing our UK operations. As an HR business partner, Spencer is dedicated to aligning HR strategies with JPGL’s business objectives to support our organisational goals. Spencer works closely with our leadership to ensure that our team members are supported.
