Our customs brokerage services
eCommerce clearance
JPGL has the knowledge to customs-clear any eCommerce shipments – from low to high-value – and deliver these consignments all over the world. Formally known as LVBI, the clearance of these shipments through our Bulk Import Reduced Data Set (BIRDS) procedures is an integral part of what we do every day.
Bonded customs warehousing
Store your goods in our bonded warehouses and defer payment of duties and taxes for the UK, or when sending items overseas. This ensures taxes and duties are paid once and in their final destination. Once your good are sold, we remove them from the facility and make the correct declaration: either paying tax at that point on goods for the UK, or paying no tax in the UK for goods being exported. This is essential for larger importers’ cash flow, as no tax is paid until the items are removed from our warehouse. Two of our secure sites offer 24/7 access and external temporary storage facilities.
Additional filing services
We can also supply hazardous goods declarations, security filing and Remote Location Filing (RLF), enabling you to have pre-lodged documentation for your goods when they pass across borders and arrive at their destination.
Online portal
Benefit from an automated broker interface via our customer portal, integrated with Chief (Customs Handling of Import & Export Freight) and CDS computer systems – giving us direct import customs clearance. This enables you to have visibility of all your transactions and a customs library of your record filing history – all held in one place for your convenience. Documents are held on file for the required legal duration.
